Daedalic Entertainment has sort of taken over the mantle of reliable developer when it comes to quality point-and-click adventure games, and after titles like Deponia and The Whispered World, pretty much anything they release is worth checking out if you’re a fan of the genre.
The studio recently revealed the anticipated release date for their newest game, Randal’s Monday, and you should be able to get all the pointing-and-clicking you can handle sometime in the third quarter of 2014. You will play as Randal, who is forced to relive the same Monday over and over again until he can prevent his friend from committing suicide. While this sounds quite dark, I’m pretty sure this is supposed to be a comedy game so…uh…ha ha?
You can check out the trailer released last year below to get a look at the game, which is admittedly much uglier than most of the other Daedalic titles we’ve played. Currently, only a PC release has been announced.
