We knew that Grand Theft Auto V was a smash hit, but didn’t think it was to the extent revealed today. Take-Two Interactive — parent company of Rockstar Games — announced that GTAV has sold 32.5 million units to date. This makes it the best selling video game of 2013 by a large margin and cements Take-Two as the top video game publisher of 2013.
The news is the latest indication of the banner year Take-Two had which included victories like buying back 16.24 million shares of the company — most of which were owned by the Icahn Group. Read our Grand Theft Auto V review here.
