Xbox One and Xbox 360 players have been enjoying Onslaught, the first Map Pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts, since January 28. Well it’s almost your turn PS4, PS3 and PC players. Activision has confirmed that Onslaught will launch on these platforms on February 27.
Onslaught is your traditional Call of Duty map pack. You’re getting three brand multiplayer maps and a fourth map based on a previous fan favorite. Taking a page from Treyarch’s book, Onslaught also throws in a brand new weapon and a brand new Extinction map.
The weapon is called ‘Maverick’ and is an assault/sniper rifle hybrid. The extinction map is called ‘Nightfall’ and is the first chapter in a four-party story. Players head to an Alaskan research facility to learn more about the Nightfall Program. Along the way you’ll meet two new characters, two new aliens and get your hands on the new Venom-X weapon.
The four maps include Fog, which serves as a homage to classic slasher films. One player can actually don the mask of Michael Myers and go on a slashing frenzy. Bayview is a fast-paced map featuring the ability to call in artillery strikes from a naval vessel. Containment is set in a Mexican village with leaking radioactive material. Ignition is based on Scrapyard from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Onslaught is out February 27 on PS4, PS3 and PC for $14.99. Those who have purchased the Call of Duty: Ghosts Season Pass will be able to download the DLC the moment it becomes available.
