Namco Bandai Shows off Tales of Symphonia Chronicles’ Collector’s Edition

Unboxing videos are a thing. They always have been, and for whatever reason they probably always will be. While today’s video from Namco Bandai isn’t technically an unboxing — mostly due to the fact that, well, they don’t actually unbox anything — they still show off what players can expect if they’ve pre-ordered the collector’s edition of Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. We say pre-ordered as a past tense verb primarily because finding a retailer that isn’t sold out of the bundle is next to impossible by this point.

At any rate, the premium package that is selling for $99.99 including the following goodies:

  • Limited edition packaging with exclusive artwork from Japanese animation studio, ufotable
  • SteelBook case
  • Set of five Chibi Kyun Chara figures
  • Four disc CD soundtrack
  • Tales of Symphonia: Successors of Hope hardcover novel
  • Art booklet with PS3 custom theme download code

As opposed to many other collector’s editions, Tales’ seems to actually be worth its price point, if for nothing else than for the five figures. Tales of Symphonia Chronicles is scheduled for release on February 25 for PlayStation 3. Check back then for our full review of the game.
