Since its release to critical acclaim, there has been talk of a potential sequel to The Last of Us and after killing it at the 17th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards the talk is at a fervor. For those of you praying for a sequel, good news…kinda.
In an interview with Eurogamer, Neil Druckmann, the creative director at Naughty Dog, suggested that a sequel to The Last of Us is not out of the question, “We have started brainstorming some stuff. To be honest, some of them are sequel ideas.” Druckann also mentioned the possibility of a new IP, “some of them are brand new IP – we’ve spent the last few weeks brainstorming new IP.”
However, a potential sequel may not come for some time as Druckmann stated “it’s just time for a break, and to recharge the batteries.” For those who can’t wait to enjoy a new experience make sure to check out The Last of Us: Left Behind DLC coming out in seven days (February 14th).
