God of War Collection Comes To PS Vita This May

The God of War franchise will make its PS Vita debut this May.  No, it’s not a brand new title in the award-winning franchise, but it is two of the greatest hack-and-slash games of all time.  It’s the God of War Collection.

Corey Barlog, Creative Director of God of War II, announced that the HD Collection will release on PS Vita May 6. “Wait, what? God of War 1 and 2 are coming to Vita? Are you frakking kidding me? YEAAAAHH!!!”

The God of War Collection originally released in 2009 on PS3 and was what kicked off the whole HD Remaster craze.  It consists of the original God of War and God of War II now featuring HD textures and environments.  While there is no new content, God of War Collection should give us a good idea how a God of War game would work on PS Vita.

God of War and God of War II are considered to be some of the best hack-and-slash games ever created.  Their blend of strong storytelling and addictive gameplay has turned God of War and Kratos into a household name.

God of War Collection is out May 6 exclusively on PS Vita and will retail for $29.99.
