Battlefield 4’s second expansion pack, Second Assault, has been available on Xbox One since the system launched November 22, 2013. As part of a deal between EA and Microsoft, Second Assault was to be a timed-exclusive for Microsoft’s brand new console for a few months. Well that period is over and it’s time to return to some of Battlefield 3’s best maps.
EA has revealed that Second Assault will launch on PS4, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 18 for Battlefield Premium subscribers. Those who aren’t subscribers will have to wait until March 4 to purchase the DLC. Second Assault features four maps from Battlefield 3 – Operation Metro, Caspian Border, Gulf of Oman, and Operation Firestorm – that have been reimagined in Frostbite 3.
Dice and EA were also kind enough to give us a little taste of the third expansion pack; Naval Strike. This will launch late March for Battlefield Premium subscribers and focuses heavily on naval combat. The four maps included are Lost Island, Nansha Strike, Wave Breaker, and Operation Mortar. Expect to hear more about Naval Strike very soon.
Battlefield 4: Second Assault is out February 18 for Battlefield Premium subscribers and March 4 for non-subscribers. Check out the maps in action below:
