Mere hours prior to its Kickstarter campaign ending, Playdek’s Unsung Story: Tale of the Guardians was successfully funded.
“Without your support, all of your comments and suggestions, the concerns you had and the praise you gave, the ideas you shared with us to improve both the campaign and the game itself, and your confidence in this Kickstarter campaign to help fund Unsung Story, none of this would even be possible. So for all of that, we want to thank you.
“Over the next few months we will continue to share with you our progress and development both on Kickstarter and on our website (http://unsungstory.com/) so you can continue to see how this game develops and continue to provide your ideas, suggestions, and support in order to make this the game we all have been waiting to play.”
It surpassed its $600,000 goal by a fair amount, managing to garner a total of $660,126. An impressive feat considering that one of the early selling points turned out to be a reason for caution. While acclaimed game designer Yasumi Matsuno is attached to the project, he hasn’t been involved in the gameplay.
If you’re interested in supporting the project in its pursuit of reaching its lofty stretch goals – like additional platform support, cooperative play, voice-overs, and more – the developers will be opening up a PayPal soon.
