When it comes to the Oculus Rift, NES’ The Legend of Zelda isn’t exactly the first game to comes to mind when thinking of the peripheral’s capabilities. But that’s exactly what has been done by creating a virtual reality version of the classic original game. To make this possible, the game’s point of view has shifted to 3D first person, but remains in 8-bit.
It’s a pretty incredible thing to see, but it’s hard to get a handle on if it’s actually worth playing it in this method — especially considering Vaecon states numerous times that he is getting nauseous playing it.
