After a furor over the lean campaign time of around two hours, Konami has decided to drop the price of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes to $30. This price keeps it in line with the prior-gen versions, which retains their $20 digital price point. It’s a bit odd that they’re not dropping the physical version of the last-gen versions down to $20 as well, but this does allow more people to gain access to the game than before. People are definitely more willing to take a chance on a $20 purchase than a $30 one, and while this release does echo the GT 5: Prologue release from many years ago, at least Konami is taking action to please its fanbase. For a limited time, purchasing either the retail or digital version of Ground Zeroes will give you access to exclusive content in The Phantom Pain, so it’d be best to line up what platform you want to stick with.
