Update: Game Informer announced that the game will take place one year after the events of Arkham City, and that Batman will be at his most powerful. Additionally, an official gameplay video will be made available tomorrow.
Rocksteady has been silent for several years as they chiseled away at the finale to the Arkham series. Finally, as per the rumors released only days ago, Batman: Arkham Knight was made official. New features include a drivble Batmobile, uniquely designed by Rocksteady to showcase their Batman’s personal style, additional moves in Dark Knights repertoire of combo-centric attacks, and the biggest world in any Akrham title yet.
The finale will be the explosive conclusion fans have been waiting for, and include various foes from throughout the previous titles, as well as a few surprises. Confirmed enemies are: Scarecrow, which returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains in order to defeat ol Bat’s forever, with the Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn making the cut.
A release date is currently unknown, but as a preorder bonus, players will be able to take control of Harley Quinn in exclusive challenge maps. Batman: Arkham Knight will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
