Those picking up Watch Dogs on PC better hope they have some powerful rigs. Game Director Jonathan Morin has revealed the minimum specs for the game, and you’ll need some pretty decent specs just get the game running.
Here they are:
- Processor: IntelCore 2 Quad Q8400 2.66Ghz or AMDPhenom II X4 940 3.0Ghz
- Memory: 6GB RAM
- Video card: 1024 VRAM DirectX 11 Shader 5.0
- Sound Card: DirectX9
- Hard drive: 25 GB
Typically, the minimum RAM requirement for most modern games is 4GB, but Ubisoft is really trying to push visual fidelity and immersion with Watch Dogs. So far, everything we’ve seen of the game looks great, even though some are afraid the most recent trailer showcased a downgrade in the visual fidelity. We’re still waiting to find out what the recommended specs are, but expect to need a pretty beefy rig to max out the settings.
Watch Dogs is out May 27 on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. A Wii U version will launch sometime later in 2014.
