Since its re-launch in August of last year, Final Fantasy XIV has seen a number of incremental updates month by month. Later in March, we’ll be receiving a relatively large addition in Patch 2.2, adding a collection of new content that should have players busy for weeks.
Titled Through the Maelstorm, this patch will include additional main story quests, a brand new dungeon named The Lost City of Amdapor, a new side quest from Hildibrand and two hard mode options for Halatali and Brayflox’s Longstop. Additionally, there will be various new gear available, Beast Tribe quests, and for higher ranked players, The Second Coil of Bahamut.
Through the Maelstorm will be available for PS3 and PC users on March 27, with PS4 players having to wait until launch (or possibly later) when the game itself hits April 14.
