Assassin’s Creed: Unity Officially Announced For PS4, Xbox One and PC

It is official!  The leak from a few days ago is true.  Assassin’s Creed: Unity is real and will launch Holiday 2014 on PS4, Xbox One and PC as a next-gen exclusive.

Ubisoft has released a short trailer with the news that more information will be revealed soon.  The team has been working on the game for over three years andvdecided to make the news official after the leak.  The trailer is comprised of in-engine footage, and it looks spectacular.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity takes place during the French Revolution.  Players will take control of new assassin Arno who will roam the streets of Paris, France in pursuit of Templars.  You’ll get your first look at Arno, the Notre Dame cathedral and a guillotine.

There is still one more Assassin’s Creed game to announce.  The leak suggested that an Assassin’s Creed game will also launch on the last-generation consoles.  We’ll let you know when Ubisoft decides to announce it.
