The next entry in the long-running LEGO series of games is available now. LEGO The Hobbit, which covers the events of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, is available now.
Relive the events of the first two films in Pete Jackson’s film trilogy in LEGO form. You’ll travel across the Shire, Goblin Town, Mirkwood, Dol Goldur and The Lonely Mountain in a quest to defeat Smaug and take back Erebor. Take control of iconic heroes and villains from the films including Bilbo, Gandalf, Thorin, Legolas, Tauriel, Azog and Bolg. Like with LEGO The Lord of the Rings, all of the audio has been taken straight from the film. When you hear Gandalf speak that is Ian McKellen’s voice coming out of LEGO Gandalf’s mouth.
The game only covers the events of the first two films. It is rumored that levels based on the third film, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, will be released as an expansion pack. Of course, it’s also possible that Warner Bros. and Traveller’s Tales will also release a brand new product containing levels from the third movie.
LEGO The Hobbit is out today on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PS Vita and 3DS. Check out the launch trailer below:
