There’s long been speculation regarding a new-generation release for the wildly successful The Last of Us — a game that has won a multitude of awards, including our game of the year. While there was little doubt that it would eventually find its way to the PlayStation 4, a release has finally been confirmed by Sony Computer Entertainment America. By way of a tweet, of course.
The Remastered Edition will include a plethora of bonuses, including a cinematic commentary with select cast members and Neil Druckmann, as well as the DLC map packs (Abandoned Territories, Reclaimed Territories) and the The Last of Us: Left Behind. Additionally, several improvements have been implemented, such as 1080p, higher resolution character models, and overall visual and gameplay polish.
The Last of Us Remastered was found listed for $59.99 on Amazon. No release date is currently available, but more information is soon to come. Click the image below for the original tweet.
