MMO Black Desert’s Combat Looks to Bring in the Action Crowd

The upcoming Korean MMO Black Desert has turned heads thanks to how beautiful its aesthetics are. However, Developers Pearl Abyss are showing off some of the game’s combat, to ensure folks that the title is more than just a one-trick pony. So, to hammer home this point, Abyss have released a new combat trailer showing off various classes for the game’s forthcoming closed beta.

Taking a look at the video, you can see that the title is going for an action approach, with gameplay that is comparable to some of the slickest battling around. While the MMO genre has become synonymous with point and click combat, it would seem that the latest trend of incorporating some exciting combat mechanics has poured into Black Desert. I don’t know about the rest of you, but throughout the entire montage, I couldn’t help but expect Bayonetta to show up, gun-heels and all.

Black Desert’s next closed beta is set to start in two weeks, on April 22, and will go on for approximately three weeks on PC. Thanks for the info, Siliconera!
