PS Store Update Goes Live

This week’s PS Store update is live, and brings with it some amazing stuff. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 can be pre-ordered on both the PS3 and PS4, and comes with a electro-proof suit that would presumably make at least one boss battle a breeze. You can also pre-order JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All Stars Battle on the PS3, or get Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn for $40 or $60 on the PS4 depending on which version you want. Trials Fusion hits the PS4 for $20 for the base game or $40 for the version with a season pass, while Backgammon Blitz and Pure Chess hit the PS4 for $8 each, or you can get Pure Chess and all of its content for $15. The PS3 gets Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XI for $20, Beyond: Two Souls for $60, EA Sporta FIFA World Cup Brazil for $60, the previously pre-order exclusive bundle for Castle of Illusion with the Genesis game thrown in, and TMNT: Out of the Shadows for $15.

Vita owners get Backgammon Blitz, Dead Nation, Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars, Ethan: Meteor Hunter, and a free to play No Heroes Allowed: No Puzzles Either! The PS1 Classics area gets yet another import game in the form of Hyper Crazy Climber for $6. Fans of freebies can check out demos for Trials Fusion and Backgammon Blitz, while Infamous: Second Son’s OST is available for free, and the PS3 remake of Castle of Illusion can be yours via the Instant Game Collection. There’s a massive sale on LEGO games taking them to about half price in most cases, while Darksiders II on the PS3 can be yours for $40…really now? That’s going for maybe $20 in physical form. Castle of Illusion and Trials Fusion are must-haves. Beyond is probably best obtained in a physical format since this game has to be gigantic and would take up way too much hard drive space to really recommend – especially with a swank reversible cover included.
