First In-Game Call of Duty 2014 Screenshot Released

It’s still going to be a while before Activision and Sledgehammer Games officially announce what Call of Duty 2014 will be about.  So, in the meantime, we’ll just have to be satisfied with an in-game screenshot.

The screenshot was shown off at GDC 2014 during a panel with the studio.  The detail is stunning and truly looks next-gen.  Sledgehammer says that the screenshot is of actual in-game characters.  IGN has the image.

Call of Duty 2014 will be Sledgehammer Games’ first solo entry in the franchise.  Previously, they teamed up with Infinity Ward to co-develop Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.  The studio has been given three years to work on the game as part of the new Call of Duty development cycle.  Back in February, Activision announced Call of Duty was moving to a three-year development cycle, and that Sledgehammer Games would join Treyarch and Infinity Ward as the third Call of Duty studio.  It was also confirmed that development of Call of Duty 2014 would focus on PS4 and Xbox One.

Call of Duty 2014 is out fall 2014 on PS4, Xbox One, PC and most likely PS3 and Xbox 360.
