Unreal Engine 4 Adds PS4, Xbox One Support

Unreal Engine 4 subscribers can now create PS4 and Xbox One versions of their games.  Epic Games has added support for Sony and Microsoft’s latest consoles to their engine.

All Unreal Engine 4 subscribers who are registered developers with Sony and Microsoft will get access to the source code for their respective platforms.  This is completely free as long as you continue to pay the $19 monthly fee for the engine.  Epic Games notes that developers have had access to Unreal Engine 4 for two years, and that we should see some impressive looking games coming out soon.

If you’re looking at becoming a developer for either Sony or Microsoft, Epic Games has the links you need.  Once you’re an official developer you can then follow the step-by-step guide to get the UE4 Source Code.

Unreal Engine 4 fully supports PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 (including Project Morpheus), SteamOS, Linux, HTML5, and Oculus VR technologies.
