Rumor: Mass Effect Trilogy Coming to PS4 and Xbox One

It appears that the Mass Effect Trilogy may be getting the remastered treatment.  You may want to take this with a grain of salt, but Chilean retailer Zmart has listed the Mass Effect Trilogy for both PS4 and Xbox One.

The Mass Effect Trilogy was originally released in 2012 on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC and was comprised of the first three games alongside select DLC packs.  Rumors of a Remastered version for the PS4 and Xbox One began early last month when General Manager Aaryn Flynn went on record stating, “We have discussed that internally. If we can put solid plans together we’ll share.”  While it’s not a confirmation, it’s enough to know that EA and BioWare are heavily considering porting the games.

We’ll have to wait for EA Games or Bioware to make the official announcement, but this does seem plausible. Remastering hit games from the last generation seems to be all the rage nowadays as Tomb Raider and Rayman Legends have been enhanced for the new consoles, and The Last of Us will be receiving the same treatment later in June.
