Ubisoft Is Now “Fully Focused” On Watch Dogs For Wii U

Watch Dogs is out on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 later this month, but not the Wii U version.  As we reported a few months ago, the Wii U version of Watch Dogs was delayed so that Ubisoft Romania could have more time to optimize the game to Nintendo’s console.  Well, now that the other versions are done and ready to ship, Ubisoft can turn its full attention to the Wii U.

“Right now [the Wii U version is] currently being done, but I’m not directly involved,” creative director Jonathan Morin told Red Bull. “We wanted to finish all the platforms that we are currently shipping. We needed those guys to get [the shipping versions] finished, and the good news now is that they’re all fully focused on the Wii U version, making sure it gets the attention it deserves to make it the best version it can be.”

This is good news for those hoping to pick up the game on Wii U.  Watch Dogs is currently scheduled for release on Wii U sometime in the fall of 2014.
