A game as good as Dark Souls II deserves success. Even though it’s the talk of the internet, YouTube and quite a few Twitch streams, however, whether or not that would translate to sales was unclear. After all, this is a game that’s hard — brutally so — so can it achieve mainstream success? Apparently yes, as Bandai Namco announced today that the game has shipped 1.2 Million copies in US and Europe in March alone. That’s a big success for a franchise that started off in Atlus’ hands and all the more stunning when you take into account that the numbers don’t include what’s been shipped in April and May nor Japan, nor the PC version.
Indeed, it looks like Dark Souls has finally hit the big leagues.
