After a six month delay, Watch Dogs has finally gone gold. It seems like just yesterday Ubisoft took the gaming world by storm with their surprise announcement at E3 2012, and now the game is finally done. Of course, this is more notable than most titles going gold as Watch Dogs has had a rather prolonged — reportedly in the works since 2009 — and difficult development cycle that has drawn its fair share of controversy.
“It’s exciting to be gold,” says Creative Director Jonathan Morin. “But it’ll be more exciting when people are playing. For the fans it means that it’s true. It means there will be no such thing as another delay. But for us, it’s not done until they actually have it in their hands.”
The game will be released on May 27 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
