Transistor Never Ends, According to Supergiant Games

When we spoke with Greg Kasavin of Supergiant Games back in January, we knew Transistor would be glorious. All the building blocks were lined up for a title to showcase the company’s prowess, especially following the much-loved and wildly successful Bastion. Since then, very few details have surfaces, and the developers approach has been as tight-lipped as it is impressive.

While many had the opportunity to explore a slice of Transistor at PAX East this year, information has mostly been limited. Today, however, Supergiant Games shared a tidbit about a new mode via the PlayStation blog: Recursion mode, a special feature that unlocks once you complete the main story.

In Recursion mode, you’ll retain your level and Transistor functions, while “the composition of enemy forces you’ll encounter will be different — and it’ll be different just about every time you play.”

Essentially, Transistor never ends. The more you play, the more new combinations you’re bound to discover. Transistor releases May 20 on Steam and the PlayStation 4.
