YouTube To Buy Twitch For $1 Billion?

Twitch has become a significant part of gaming culture over the last couple of years, allowing millions of players across the world to stream their gameplay to others. Whether it’s through capture cards, PC configurations or built-in apps on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Twitch is becoming implemented into everything gaming relevant and has grown significantly since its 2011 launch.

Its popularity has not gone unnoticed it would seem, and has gained the attention of Google and YouTube. Variety is reporting that, according to their sources, YouTube has struck a deal to buy Twitch for more than $1 billion. This could mean significant things (and possibly changes) for the streaming service, especially considering YouTube has their own live-streaming system, as well.
