Nintendo and PDP Announce GameCube-Inspired Controller For Super Smash Bros. Wii U

The Super Smash Bros. community rejoiced yesterday when peripheral manufacturing giant PDP announced plans for a Nintendo-licensed Wii U controller styled after the glorious GameCube controller. Called the Wired Fight Pad, it will plug into a Wii Remote, much like the Wii Classic Controller, and be usable for both Wii and Wii U games that already support Classic and Pro Controllers. PDP also shared that the controller “will feature fan-favorite Nintendo characters such as Mario, Yoshi, and Princess Peach.”¬†Who says Nintendo doesn’t listen to its fans?

The Wired Fight Pad will launch this winter alongside Super Smash Bros. Wii U for $24.99.
