Battlelog Accidentally Leaks Battlefield: Hardline

It has long been rumored that a police-themed Battlefield game would release in 2014, and EA might have accidentally just revealed it.  Battlefield: Hardline has just been leaked following a new Battlelog update.

A logo, artwork, classes, game modes, weapons and accessories were apparently found in the source of Battlelog in a CSS file titles BFH.  Koen V has all the information he found on Battlelog stored on his website.

Battlefield Hardline Downtown

The information confirms Visceral Games as the developer and that the game will be police-themed.  The multiplayer classes are named Operator (replaces Assault), Mechanic (replaces Engineer), Enforcer (replaces Support) and Professional (replaces Recon).  A Downtown map is referenced in the code along with Blood Money, Bomb Squad and Carrier Assault game modes.  The game will launch on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Take this as a rumor for now as EA has yet to announce anything, or respond to this rumor.

Expect a full announcement for the next Battlefield game at E3 2014 during EA’s press conference.  The publisher will be showing off six games with one of those being an unnanounced game launching this fall and running on Frostbite 3.  Battlefield: Hardline is probably that game.

Thanks, Eurogamer!
