The Evil Within Delayed, Will Now Release Right Before Halloween

Bethesda Softworks has announced a slight delay for Tango Gamework’s upcoming The Evil Within.  Shinji Mikami’s return to the Survival-Horror genre will no longer release in August, but in October instead.

The Evil Within launches on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 October 21, which is just in time for Halloween.  Shinji Mikami, the father of the Survival-Horror genre, returns to the genre nearly a decade after Resident Evil 4.

“Shinji Mikami and his team at Tango Gameworks have asked for additional time to further balance and refine the game in order to deliver the polished, terrifying pure survival horror experience they set out to create,” Bethesda stated in the press release.

In addition, Bethesda has also detailed their pre-order plans, along with releasing a new short trailer that shows the reactions of people playing the game. Anyone looking to put money down right now will receive The Fighting Chance pack which comes with a Medical Kit, Green Gel, Double Barrel Shotgun, an Incendiary Agony Bolt and a Poison Agony Bolt.
