UK Charts: Watch Dogs Hacks Past The Competition

Last week saw the release of the oft-delayed Watch Dogs and Mario Kart 8 go head-to-head in the United Kingdom, and the results are in.  Watch Dogs took the top spot on the charts, and has done extremely well, becoming UK’s biggest new franchise launch ever, besting previous record holder L.A. Noire.

Mario Kart 8 had to settle for the second spot, but Nintendo shouldn’t be complaining.  The UKIE notes that Wii U sales rose 666% compared to the previous week, so Mario Kart 8 may just be the salvation the system is looking for.
