E3 2014: Fenix Rage Brings Super Meat Boy Style Difficulty to PC, PS4, Xbox One

Looking for a new incredibly hard platformer to play? Take a look at Fenix Rage, an upcoming title for PC via Steam alongside consoles. The small Costa Rican development team has been working to create their take on tough platforming inspired by the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog. It’s easy to see this inspiration thanks to the bright colors, not to mention the speedy hedgehog-esque main character.

In Fenix Rage, your lead character works though eight landscapes on the path to completion. There’s not a big focus on narrative, although there is some visual storytelling. So far, the feedback from gamers suggest that Fenix Rage is very difficult. The comparison to Super Meat Boy and 1001 Spikes were mentioned.

If tough platformers interest you then there’s not long to wait. Fenix Rage is pegged for a Fall launch on Steam (Windows, Mac, Linux), PS4, and Xbox One.
