Nintendo has revealed its mystery 3DS title is called Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. The game is set in London, and employs a steampunk aesthetic. “S.T.E.A.M.” apparently stands for “Strike Team Eliminating the Alien Menace”, which provides obvious hints at the game’s premise. A mix of turn-based strategy and third-person action elements comprise the gameplay, which sounds reminiscent of the beloved PS3 title Valkyria Chronicles. It was also noted that touch screen controls will play an integral part in the game, though no precise details were shared. Nintendo is developing Code Name: S.T.E.A.M alongside Intelligent Systems, the studio responsible for fantastic titles like Fire Emblem and Advance Wars. Nintendo will debut footage of the game tomorrow on their Treehouse live broadcast, where we will learn more about the intriguing game.
