Haven’t heard of Phil Fish? He made the game Fez, a well received and respected platformer released back in 2012 and since then has been the center of controversy seemingly whenever he opens his mouth. Whether it’s stating that Japanese games and their developers “suck,” or his latest stunt claiming that people who upload or stream his games — or any game — with revenue coming from ads, but not sharing said revenue to developers, are no worse then Pirates. In a statement from his Twitter account he goes on to say “Ad revenue should be shared with developers. This should be built into YouTube. Anything else is basically piracy.” It was reported later he subsequently made his twitter private, then promptly deleted his account.
