Terrian Saga: KR-17 Brings 90s Gaming to 2014

Even if they won’t admit it, there are many gamers out there who enjoy reveling in nostalgia. Many developers have catered to these gamers with pixelated platformers, puzzlers, and the like. Terrian Saga: KR-17 is the latest sidescrolling puzzle platformer out but it seems to really do the 1990s justice.

The pixel art, color scheme, soundtrack, and even KR-17’s story feel like they would have been right at home on a Genesis or SNES. KR-17 itself is a “mascot”-type character thanks to being a military drone with big, cute eyes. Players work their way through nine zones and face off against eight bosses.

Terrian Saga: KR-17 normally costs $4.99 but is 20% off for its debut week on Steam. If you check the game out this week you can also nab the official soundtrack free of charge.
