Thirty-six hours from now, PlayStation players around the world will be getting their hands on the Destiny beta — so long as they have a code. Some were fortunate enough to play around with the alpha version just after E3, but this is the first time the masses will be able to play the upcoming shooter for an extended period of time.
You shouldn’t just jump right in without knowing what the game and the structure of the beta is all about, so Bungie has released a two minute longer trailer to better inform you of what to expect. The beta will give gamers a taste of the massive world Destiny has to offer, not to mention the various mechanics that will be put into play. Destiny’s beta begins on July 17 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 owners, with Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions coming July 23. This all leads up to the full launch of the game on September 9.
