First 4 Figures are masters at what they do. For those not in-the-know, the company crafts wonderfully detailed (and expensive) statues based on popular characters and games such as Zelda, Metroid, and even Shenmue. Recently, they unveiled two forthcoming figures; one for a series they are well acclimated to, the other something new entirely.
For starters, the company revealed that they will release a new Light Suit Samus statue from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. According to the website, this model is from a new series of Metroid Master Arts products. The product listing further states:
Samus is holding her arm cannon up, ready to fire as she storms the Sky Temple to defeat the Emperor Ing. She’s been rendered at a jaw-dropping 1/4 scale to encapsulate immense power that the Light Suit holds. She towers at 20 inches tall.
Comes in deluxe full color packaging, hand numbered base, and includes an authenticity card which allows you to purchase the same number of the model next in the Metroid Master Arts series.
So there’s Samus. Our personal interest rests with the other release: a Skies of Arcadia statue. To our knowledge, this marks the first SoA figure, well, ever. And boy is it a doozy. According to its product page:
Vyse is styled is his striking Blue Rogues jacket and leather boots, complete with a flag bearing their insignia. The flag is made from high quality cloth to give it an authentic, tattered appearance, while Vyse himself is cast in polystone with remarkable attention to detail in a hand-painted finish. He’s stood atop a based inspired his his father’s ship, The Albatross.
Recreated to a 1/6 scale, Vyse measures approximately 11″ tall on his own. From the foot of the base to the tip of the pirates flag, the entire statue measures an impressive 17″ tall.
As one can see, these aren’t your father’s game figures — these things are massive. Unfortunately, they come with a hefty price-point: Samus will set folks back a cool $339.99 for the standard option, or $364.99 for the exclusive edition iteration. The regular version of Vyse is going for $199.99, while the exclusive edition is going for $219.99. Though the price is high, we personally have ordered statues from them before and they really are quite beautiful. Not to mention, how can you pass up a Vyse statue?! It’s not possible. Go order it. Now.
