Jazz the Jackrabbit Turns 20

On July 30, 1994, Jazz the Jackrabbit was released for the PC. Twenty years have passed since that epic release by Epic Games. The game was followed by a sequel nearly four years later in 1998, and it even attempted to venture into 3D (although unsuccessfully). The last (and rather lackluster) appearance of the franchise was back in 2002 on the Game Boy Advance.

Jazz the Jackrabbit is an awesome game, right up there with the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man, and it in fact combines the best of those two worlds. It’s been dormant for a long time now, and Epic Games has long moved on to warring pastures with lots of gears involved. But honestly, a digital reboot release would be a fitting heavenly celebration.
