While the PlayStation 4’s current UI is calming and far better than the PS3’s XMB, it could still use some improvements. Those of us with a ton of games know that scrolling through a single massive bar of titles and apps can get cumbersome. Thankfully, if a leak from Behind Games is to be believed, the PlayStation 4 will have a far better user interface after the next update.
It appears as though the Home Screen will be support custom folders, allowing players to group any number of applications or games together. The notification system appears to be far more robust as well, with players no longer having to leave their current game session to view trophy details or accept game invites.
