Previous Sherlock Holmes games have alternated between being bad and absolutely abysmal, which makes it more surprising each time we hear something about the upcoming Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments and it actually sounds…good. Bizarre, I know. I thought there was some sort of contractual agreement to ensure no one ever made a good Sherlock Holmes game, but this one has all the makings of a quality title. There are six cases in total, and each one has up to nine different conclusions meaning your investigation will actually affect the outcome. They’ve released some fairly meaty trailers in the past showing the game in action, and Frogwares just recently put out another trailer in tandem with a release date announcement. The good news is the game will be available September 30 for almost all the expected platforms. The bad news is the trailer is really just a little teaser and you won’t see much actual gameplay in it. Even Sherlock couldn’t get a clue out of this one.
