One of the notable admission’s from WB Interactive’s (still admittedly impressive) E3 line-up this year was Mad Max. This came into stark contrast to E3 2013, where it was arguably their most touted game at the show — complete with banners littering the expo hall. As it seemed well enough along then, our assumption for its absence was because the Mad Max film reboot, Fury Road, had been delayed and was currently without a release date. Now that the film has a release date (May 15, 2015) , however, it was the hope that it would reappear at Gamescom. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.
WB released their line-up today and Mad Max is again absent:
Batman: Arkham Knight (PC, Xbox One, PS4)
Dying Light (PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Xbox One, PS4)
Gauntlet (PC, Steambox)
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (PS Vita, 3DS, Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4 and PC)
Middle-Earth : Shadow of Mordor ™ (PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Xbox One, PS4)
Hopefully this is simply a coincidence and not an indication of a more dire situation for the anticipated sandbox title.
