Level-5’s Fantasy Life Gets Final Release Date

What do you get when you combine Animal Crossing, Rune Factory and the Tales series? Something Japanese and awesome. In this case, it’s Fantasy Life, Level-5’s latest RPG for the Nintendo 3DS.

With a huge overworld that can be tackled solo or with a friend, there are dungeons to explore, treasures to uncover and creatures to battle. Additionally, players can customize their characters, decorate their homes à la Animal Crossing and interact with the quirky townsfolk.

The game released in Japan back in 2012, followed by an expansion that added online functionality. The North American and European releases will include both the original title and the expansion on a single cartridge, featuring Link Mode, which allows players to connect with friends during gameplay, full-fledged co-op features (both local wireless and online), and a player chat.

If a life simulation/RPG hybrid sounds like your mug of ale, look out for Fantasy Life on September 26, 2014 in Europe, and October 24, 2014 in North America.
