Nate Wells Back at Naughty Dog?

If you remember from earlier this year The Last of Us art director, Nate Wells, announced via Twitter that he was leaving Naughty for Giant Sparrow.

Wells left and became Giant Sparrow’s new art director, but according to his LinkedIn profile he’s back with Naughty Dog after spending very little time with Giant Sparrow and Missing Presumed Drowned as their creative director.

This has been an interesting year for developer Naughty Dog having three departures including Wells’. The other two people to leave were Uncharted 4 game director Justin Richmond and creative director Amy Hennig. Richmond left to join Riot Games, creators of League of Legends.

Hennig left the company March 3 amongst speculation that she had been forced out by Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, creative director and game director of The Last of Us respectively, with Sony offering no comment on the situation.

There hasn’t been any confirmation from Wells and according to his twitter profile he’s still the art director at Giant Sparrow, but hasn’t tweeted since August 12.
