From the articles we’ve written, it’s probably evident that we love Xenoblade Chronicles. While we ultimately come down on the side of the argument that the Wii’s other JRPG, The Last Story, is the better game, we certainly know we’re in the minority on that. Nevertheless, that hasn’t stopped us from fighting hard to contain our excitement for Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade sequel, Xenoblade Chronicles X. With a 2015 release window, the game feels just around the corner, so getting bits of news like that of today’s is all the more tantalizing.
When speaking with Edge magazine this month, Monolith Soft president Tetsuya Takahashi stated:
Vehicles are called Dolls. They are five times larger than a person. So to get the same feel as Xenoblade Chronicles, the map would need to be five times bigger. The game world in X is in fact even bigger than that.
This should be big news to anyone who played the first game, as its world was already pretty massive. To think of one that is quintuple the enormity is rather staggering. With this news, in conjunction with what we’ve seen from the game before now, it’s looking like Nintendo has a real gem on their hands. Be sure to check back for more news on X as we get closer to its release.
