Super Smash Bros. Pic of the Day Shows Off Character Customization

Masahiro Sakurai has recently released some truly noteworthy screenshots from the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games on 3DS and Wii U, and today he has treated us to another revealing photo. It was announced previously that the new Super Smash Bros. games would feature customizable fighters, but until now no specific details were known aside from the existence of multiple movesets. It appears players will be able to customize their Mii fighter’s equipment, special attacks, headgear, clothing, as well as unique attributes like “improved attack in a crisis”. It remains to be seen whether any of this customization will carry over to the regular roster of fighters, but the options on show are certainly promising for anyone itching to put their own spin on their fighter when Super Smash Bros. launches on 3DS on October 3, followed by the Wii U version this holiday season.
