NetherRealm Studios has officially announced a rumored fan-art submission website dubbed the “Kollective.” The news was first rumored by a Mortal Kombat news twitter post, before being confirmed shortly after by the NetherRealm Studios official handle.

Today we are launching a new project called The #Kollective. Are you Kreative? Prove it to the world! http://t.co/fkHjwsCKoF

According to the website, anyone who submits artwork, which can include pictures, videos, music, cosplay and even animated GIFs, will have their work seen by Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon (sorry about the hard “c,” Ed; I’m judged on spelling and grammar), in addition to NetherRealm’s Art Director, Director of Audio and community team.
While the ultimate goal of the Kollective has not been made klear (there, are you happy?), anyone with a Tumblr account and a penchant for drawing hard-bodied characters has an official outlet for their work.
