Dead or Alive 5 is becoming Team Ninja’s most iterated game. It was first released in late 2012, then a Plus edition hit the Vita in early 2013, and finally the Ultimate version came to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 less than a year ago. The cycle of re-releasing the voluptuous fighter is not coming to an end as Team Ninja has announced yet another iteration in the Dead or Alive 5 series during their DOA5 Ultimate Arcade Fighting Carnival 2014 event.
Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in spring 2014. A short teaser video has been released featuring most of the characters from the main game, along with the downloadable Maria and the female Tengu. Unfortunately, no additional information was given, but if the name is any indication, hopefully this will be the final Dead or Alive 5 game and Team Ninja will move onto another title, whether it’s a sequel, another Ninja Gaiden, or something new.
