After teasing a new action game release a few weeks back, UK publisher Ghostlight Games have finally dropped the curtain, revealing that they would be releasing a port of Way of the Samurai 4 on Steam later this year, in cooperation with original Japanese developer Acquire and publisher Spike Chunsoft.
Originally released on PS3, Way of the Samurai 4 will be the first game in the series to ever appear on PC. The long-running series has earned somewhat of a cult following in the West, with its open-ended storylines and katana-based combat. Way of the Samurai 4 takes place during Japan’s exposure to Western influence and focuses on character customization and branching allegiances with various factions.
Way of the Samurai 4 for Steam has no release date yet, but be sure to check out our review of the PS3 version and check back with Hardcore Gamer for future details.
