If you grew up loving either film noir or Dragnet in any of its Jack Webb incarnations in the ’40s as a radio show, or the ’50s into the ’70s as a TV show, then you’ll love LA Noire. This game plays out like an episode of the show, but a gritty movie-level version and not a sanitized TV version. You’ll explore crime scenes, interrogate people, and have to learn the nuances of body language to make the right calls. The base game can be yours for $4.99, but for only $1 more, you’ll get that and all of the DLC. The game really nails the ’40s vibe and pays homage to film noir as well.
