Ubisoft has clarified that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: The Americas Collection will only launch on PS3 and Xbox 360. A PC SKU was erroneously announced, but it is not real.
Assassin’s Creed: The Americas Collection was announced last week for PS3 and Xbox 360 via a press release sent out by Ubisoft. However, European press were given a press release that seemed to confirm that a PC version was also going to be released. Obviously there was quite a bit of confusion stemming for the different press releases. Is there a PC version, or not? Turns out the answer is no.
Ubisoft confirmed to Gamestop that there is no PC version. The Americas Collection will only be available on PS3 and Xbox 360. Ubisoft did not give a reason for why three games that did launch on PC would not be getting the bundle treatment.
Assassin’s Creed: The Americas Collection is a compilation of three Assassin’s Creed games; Assassin’s Creed III, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD. The collection arrives on PS3 and Xbox 360 October 28, just in time for Assassin’s Creed: Rogue, which will wrap up the Americas saga.
