As part of their “Indie Partnership Program”, Team17 have announced they are working with developer Modern Dream in making a 70’s cop show themed game, LA Cops, which is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Team17 to bring LA Cops to multiple major gaming platforms. Their vast industry experience, professional attitude and hard work ethic matched with a determination to succeed makes them the best partner we could hope to have for LA Cops. We’ve been playing Team17 games for as long as we can remember and it’s a privilege to be a part of the story,” said Ollie Clarke, Director at Modern Dream.
Debbie Bestwick, Team17’s Managing Director added, “We are actively looking for the best games and the best people to join our partnership program . LA Cops is a great game with style and panache that is destined to be a huge hit on the home consoles. To be honest, it was an easy decision to invite Modern Dream into our program and it will be an absolute pleasure to help them achieve their vision.”
With the announcement came a couple screen shots and a rad early-access video showcasing destructible environments and a whole lot of tactical shooting. The game is currently available in Steam Early Access for $11.99 and will be coming to console and PC as a full release in the future. No official date is set yet, but they are looking to have this come out in Q4 2014, so it should only be a couple of months away.
